This cheese slicer is designed and handcrafted in Houston, Texas with various hardwoods. It is constructed using food grade FDA approved adhesive, and hand-rubbed with a combination mineral oil and beeswax. The board is then coated with more wax and buffed to a soft, smooth, shine. The finishing process seals the wood and protects the slicer while allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of the wood. We do not use stains, so the color you see reflects the natural color of the wood.
Please allow for variations in the tone and the grain of the wood, which may vary between your cheese slicer and the one shown in the picture. In particular, note that the tone of the walnut wood may range between light brown to almost black. The wood we use for your cheese slicer depends on the wood available in our local wood shop.
